The journey between June and October 2023, facilitating
one-day workshops, was EPIC for me too!
The participants across Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata
appreciated the workshop titled 'Be an EPIC.' The appreciation letter from the
CMD was the icing on the cake.
I also met many
LinkedIn friends in person, making the experience an EPIC one.

Awareness practices.
These practices can be integrated into our day-to-day
activities. These micro practices can be in chunks of even 15 secs! However,
practicing it every hour or so leads to mega benefits!
Flying to Mumbai now, to spread the scent of Self Awareness
practices for the second batch tomorrow.

PPS:
Providing a brief about the workshop as some of you
may not be familiar with
Hindi. (Participants sharing is in Hindi);
Everyone aspires to be happy in whatever s/he does.
That’s fundamental human nature.
But in reality, the majority of people feel
unhappy with their profession,
family, society, and even with themselves. All this
is because of the stress
caused by the present way of lifestyle which in turn
is dictated by the
networked society.
The demands of the profession, family, and society
on the
person, especially on corporate executives are
enormous. Coping and balancing
such wide-ranging issues cause stress. And
stress is a major contributor
to physical as well as psychological ailments.
So, it is essential to learn to de-stress ourselves
on a day-to-day basis to remain
healthy and productive.
Any person, who has learned to be happy with the
self, will spread happiness all
around. Happy people are always welcome in any
organization, as they contribute much more than ‘productivity to society.
Here are the key takeaways from the EPIC workshop ;
(Energetic, Productive, Intuitive
and Celebrative)
1. Knowing our HAPPY APPs. – How to become aware of
the HAPPY APPs and run them!
2. Experiencing the mechanics of the Mind – This is
a unique and one of its kind
activity to experience the mechanics of the mind,
the flow of thoughts. A
simple and unique activity provides the experience
of thought patterns and how to organize them for a better understanding of self
and relating to people and situations around.
3. Understanding the aspect of inherent dilemmas one
faces in real-life

We as human beings want to have fulfillment and further
fueling of expanding our actions with happiness!
It is difficult to manage and match all those three
components.
Aspirations management program drives one to deeply reflect
on knowing oneself better in terms of what are real needs, prioritizing those
needs, understanding one's personality, and matching it to fulfill the needs.
It does not stop there. It gives a measure of happiness in
achieving things. It also enables decision making which is what life is all
about - A series of choices. The quality of life enhances only with the
appropriate choices at different phases of life.
Each one of us has certain abilities(skills) and
personalities.
The Aspirations Management program provides tools to reflect
deeply in a structured manner to channel the abilities and personality to lead
a life of success and happiness all through changing phases of life!
PS - Ramanan Vaidyanathan, the architect of the Aspirations
management program and Subramani Sarode are facilitating the program for about
400 students of Ramaih University of Applied Sciences over the next two weeks.

Why do participants love EPIC sessions? It's because they
#enlist the help of Stillness. Stillness, though abstract, is a powerful force
experienced through EPIC sessions. Participants get to:
Experience
Newness
through
Listening
Seeing &
Trusting
themselves
In these sessions, participants learn to reach a state of
stillness effortlessly. The ultimate goal is to motivate and guide participants
to be on the path of wellbeing through storytelling, engaging games, and
activities.
Remember, anyone on the path of wellbeing becomes Energetic,
Productive, Intuitive, and Celebrative—truly EPIC!
Have you ever wondered how to practice self-awareness in your
day-to-day activities? It's something we often discuss on LinkedIn, but
implementing it outside of our digital lives can be challenging.
Narayankumar recently shared in one of his recent post,
"Everyone knows the theory. Stay logical, breathe deeply, be diplomatic.
All of which is tough to do in the real world outside of LinkedIn posts."
So true, right?
However, the second batch of officers from Balmer Lawrie and
Co. Ltd had the opportunity to experience firsthand how to integrate self-aware
practices into their daily lives! During the one-day workshop on 'Discover the
EPIC in You,' they discovered the power of being Energetic, Productive,
Intuitive, and Celebrative. They left
the workshop feeling EPIC and HAPPY!
And hence the chorus!
Btw, a simple way to be happy is Having Awareness of Present Position & yet capable of saying Yahoo! (Shammi Kapoorwala)
💡 The EPIC program not only provides motivation but
also shares beautiful micro-practices that can be easily incorporated into your
daily routine to de-stress and rejuvenate on the go!
👥 HR professionals can play a vital role in helping
employees become EPIC! By fostering a culture that encourages self-awareness
and personal growth, HRs can empower individuals to unlock their full potential
and thrive in both their personal and professional lives.
📩 If you're interested in learning more about the EPIC
program and how it can benefit you or your organization, feel free to reach out
to me. Let's connect and explore the path to becoming EPIC together! 😊
Three drops of blue ink are used in my session on 'Discover
the EPIC in You.'
This final activity at the end of the day session prompts
participants to come up with many insights on their own. As I reflect on this
simple yet powerful activity, a profound metaphor unfolds before me;
Imagine you are all set for an important presentation,
wearing a brand new, super white shirt. You are ready to make a lasting
impression when someone accidentally spills ink on your pristine shirt,
creating an instant prominent blot.
In that moment, frustration surges through you, and you begin
to blame the person responsible, the situation that led to the mishap, and even
your own decision to wear the white shirt instead of your favorite purple one.
Now, let's delve into the metaphor.
The shirt, in all its whiteness, represents our Beingness—the
core of who we are. The presentation symbolizes our actions, the outward
expression of ourselves to the world.
And the ink blot? It represents the cause of our incessant
thinking.
It dawns on me that the more we allow our thoughts to consume
us, the more we distance ourselves from our true Beingness and hinder our
ability to present our best selves. Blame and frustration are merely byproducts
of overthinking the situation.
Therefore, we must consciously choose to stop the cycle of
excessive thinking; otherwise, it will perpetuate negativity and distract us
from delivering a stellar presentation.
This serves as a reminder of the importance of being present and
letting go of unnecessary mental burdens. When we cease overanalyzing,
overthinking, and blaming external factors, we regain control over our actions
and reconnect with our authentic selves. By releasing the need for perfection,
we open ourselves up to new possibilities and opportunities.
I encourage all of you to stop thinking too much, avoiding
unnecessary blots on your Beingness. Embrace the unexpected, for it is in those
moments that we truly shine and present our best selves to the world.
I was in Chennai on Thursday and Friday, and it was an
extraordinary and memorable experience!
The highlight of my trip was finally meeting some amazing
individuals in person whom I've connected with on LinkedIn. Ananya Nori,
Krishnan Venkatesalu,Vijaykumar V,
and Sunil Soni were not only kind enough to meet me at my convenience, but our
meeting felt as if we were long-time friends. It's truly special when virtual
connections translate seamlessly into real-life friendships.
In addition to these beautiful meetups, I also had a
delightful surprise encounter with Ganesh Dalvi, CPF, and ASHRAF ALI.
Sometimes, unexpected meetings can be the most treasured, and this was no
exception. It was a joy to connect with them, even if it was a brief encounter.
By the way, I was in Chennai to facilitate a full-day session
on "Be an EPIC," for the second batch of Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd.
officers. It was an incredible opportunity to empower and inspire these
participants on their personal and professional journeys. I am pleased to share
that the session has already had a positive impact on their personal transformation.
I will be sharing more details about this transformative experience soon!
Amidst his busy schedule, ever-friendly ✍️Ganesh
Kalyanakrishnan managed to meet early morning (second time during the week) at
our favorite spot, the beach!
Sunil is accompanied by his talented sister Priyanka, a
creative artist. We had an enriching time. What struck me the most about Sunil
and Priyanka is their strong spiritual foundation at such a young age, which is
truly inspiring.
All in all, my Chennai visit was filled with meaningful
connections, enlightening conversations, and experiences that will be etched in
my heart forever. I am grateful for the opportunity to meet these incredible
individuals.
Updates on the transformative "Be an EPIC" session
will be posted soon!
I'm thrilled to announce that I'll be returning to Chennai on
June 22nd! I can't wait to immerse myself once again in the wonderful
atmosphere filled with enthusiastic participants, facilitating engaging games, captivating

stay in Chennai. I'm delighted to share that Mr. Vijayakumar and Ganesh have
already confirmed their meeting with me. If you'd like to schedule a meetup,
please don't hesitate to send me a direct message (DM).
Let's make this visit even more memorable and impactful

Though it was another day, another place and different set of participants, the happy workshop did get same kind of enthusiastic responses. Here are the few of those responses ;
I had heard much about being thoughtful, meditating, being
happy etc., but I was never clear of what and how they were and how to achieve
them. But after this beautiful workshop, I am clear. I also know how these can
change my life. I hope this workshop reaches more people. Thank you for conducting this event.-Ms. Swathy Iyengar.
The name of the workshop is really unique. Usually we have
some technical workshops or something like that. Well I was not selected for
the workshop session.(Students were randomly selected). I really don’t know how
and why …I just raised my hand and told madam that I wanna attend. Anyways… The
experience was truly awesome. I will surely carry the thoughts throughout my
life. The practical examples were superb. And yup..”happy” acronym is unique. - Divya S Malgavkar
At
the beginning, I was thinking that this workshop is more than 3 hours. What and
how will be this workshop. But as the session progressed I felt very nice. Now
I know the definition of happy and life. Overall this is very nice. – Anup B Khamkar
Firstly
I would like to thank you sir for coming to our college and giving us this
beautiful lecture. Actually I call this a lecture because this was the first
“lecture” for me where I did not get a single yawn. So basically I enjoyed this
session of yours a lot. I think your presentation will help us a lot in our
life. Thank you sir.
– Prashant S Bhat.
I
am really fascinated with this workshop as it creates a positive attitude in us
to enjoy every moment of life. Our opinion about our life has changed leading
us to live our life happily in any circumstances of life. –
Akshata D Pauskar
Happy
workshop has really helped me in changing some of my thoughts and way of
thinking. The thoughts and ideas of workshop taught me how to stay happy and
comfortable with what we have and with our life style and attitude. The
activities done in the workshop were interesting. Really I had a nice time in
the workshop. – Bhagya T Naik.
Firstly
I congratulate you sir, for bringing about such a change and sense of awareness
among us. The acronym HAPPY and life was too enlightening. All the analogies
used were truly appreciable and creative. – Sumit Chachadi.
After
many days I am really thinking. All the goodness and all happiness is already
within us, we just need to manifest and channel it.
With
this workshop the essence of life and living it, was made clear. The small
things in our lives determine our worth; this seminar was very fruitful for
me to introspect my life so far. Change is the law of nature and it is not
subtle or easy but whatever I have learnt this day will be of great help in my
coming life.
Thank
you sir, for your time and patience. Your effort will be acknowledged by us in
the coming days by following what you have taught us today and thereby becoming
good student, good brother, good peer and a good citizen of our
motherland.
