3G AND K SCAM

Suswasa was surfing news channels just to keep the boredom at bay. Soon his boredom turned into ennui as every channel is obsessed with reporting one or the other scam. The great mining scam, land scams, CWG scam and 2G scam. After listening to supporters as well as detractors, Suswasa went crazy. Every one seems to be right and wrong!!

At that instant the doorbell rang and Suswasa went to check the visitor. As he opened the door, two constables showed the arrest warrant and took him away.

Extremely surprised Suswasa was in the witness box of a special court by the time he realised what had happened. The prosecutor started reading the charges against him; the investigative agencies had got hold of the log of his channels tuned in from the DTH service operator. As Suswasa seemed surfing only the channels reporting scam related stories, it was assumed that he is somewhat involved in those scams!

Suswasa was flabbergasted. However, his regaining of composure was astonishingly swift. Suswasa politely refused the services offered by government appointed defence counsel and started presenting his defence;

“My lord I agree that I am part of a scam, not just scam but mother of all scams. There was a stunning silence in the courtroom as he continued. It’s just not me but all common people like me are part of this mother of all scams being played out for ages. But I like to emphasise that we, the common people are all part of this huge scam as victims and not as perpetrators.

And this scam is 3Gs and K scam. This 3Gs and K is not related to the auctioning of spectrum for 3G services but it is about some vested people’s communication about 3Gs and K. These people with their myriad and contradicting interpretation about 3G and K are vying to take control of large sections of the society.

The first G is God, second G is Guru and the third G is genes, K is Karma. Some people claiming to be the representatives of God, Chosen one of Guru’s, some medical practitioners and faith healers have woven a beautiful web of rituals, doctrines, statements and explanations. They have built nice business model, in fact running parallel economy by sucking gullible people into the vortex of 3G and K making them to fall for it and then urging them to stand for 3G and K!

For example, there is fairly unanimity with regard to God being omnipresent and omnipotent, Guru is nothing but self-awareness, Genes are the basic building blocks of life form and Karma the actions and its cause and effect.

However, 3G and K people make us believe that God is present only in certain places (places of worship) and certain direction only (Vaastu practitioners?) and devised elaborate rituals to be carried out by a set of people only, in order to get the benefits from God.

Gurus are supposed to guide us towards self-realisation. However many people pretending to be Guru and some people claiming to be in the inner circle of the Guru, keep insisting on certain methods and rituals to be followed. Each group or sect insists only their method/philosophy is the right one and others are waste of time! Experimentation and questioning by the individuals is not allowed. Because 3G and K people want a herd of sheep as it is convenient to mend and lead up to their path! This in spite of great Gurus clarifying that spirituality is a journey of the individual.

Then comes the Gene. Very less is known about the genes. The very definition of genes is undergoing change. Even the number of genes human being posses is constantly estimated downwards to around 23,000 to earlier estimate of 2 million! The Karma is also as mysterious as gene.

In these circumstances, 3G and K people inform the people that accumulation of materialistic things is to be avoided. However in case anyone want piece of land, jewellery, money, comforts, status and power then that person has to follow what 3G and K people prescribe! That’s why we see a nexus between political and religious persons throughout the history, all over the world.

So my lord, I pray that this court take note of this and initiate actions against perpetrators and not harass the victims of 3G and K scam. I also like to draw your attention about the Steve Jobs. His life is a mix of everything that most of us go through (Like 99.9% of genes are same for all!). Still he was class apart. Steve jobs wanted to retain his own persona whatever be the circumstance and didn’t want to change just because someone liked it.


We can save ourselves from 3G and K scam if we heed to Steve Jobs and try to understand our nature, our very own nature.”

Exhausted Suswasa asked for water. He lifted the water bottle and it slipped out of his hand spilling water on his face. Wiping his eyes he muttered, “I am very sorry” and surprised to look at his wife sprinkling water on him! And the report being telecast on the TV was about a scam!!

HOW TO BE HAPPY ALWAYS.

I am repeatedly bringing up this issue, since we are eternally in search of happiness. The general perception is - we will be happy only when we do/achieve something. This leads us to be in search of happiness forever, instead of being happy in whatever we do.

This thought occurred to me when I read the newspaper reports about Virendra Sehwag and Rahul Dravid on their historical performance in the recently concluded Chennai test match.

“It hurt a lot when I was out of the team and the motivation helped me to concentrate for long in the searing heat. I had to prove that I belong at this level” – said Sehwag on scoring triple century. ( Deccan Herald 29th march 2008 )

Dismissing suggestions that he had anything to prove to anyone, Rahul Dravid, after bringing up his 25th test ton, said “I have always played to prove to myself more than anyone else. I have tried to be there when we win Test matches and make a contribution.” ( Deccan Herald 30th march 2008)

What a contrast in approach. Yet it brought the best out of those batsmen.
One wants to prove to the world that he has to be counted among the great sports personalities. Other just wants prove to himself, better his own performance.

So, when we look for happiness recipe in the world outside, the vast options that are inherently contrasting will bowl us out.
Happiness can be experienced in every activity we carry out instead of postponing it till we achieve something bigger in life.

If a person decides to get up early and start exercising to be in good health, the point of happiness generally lies at the time the person thinks he is in perfect health. But this does not happen, for the simple reason that different persons perceive the definition of perfect health differently.

A neighbour of Mulla Nasruddin was amazed at the fact that Nasruddin use to boast of his good health and happiness, even though he was catching cold and cough and down with fever on many occasions. So, one day he decided to confront Mulla Nasruddin and got the following reply from him;

“I was very unhappy in the beginning due to these cold, cough and allergies. So one day I decided to become healthy by getting up early and doing some exercises. Next day onwards I stopped worrying about when I am going to be healthy. Instead I started getting up early and doing exercises. I am happy on the days I get up early and do exercises. On the days when I am not able to get up early, I will be happy about getting beautiful sleep. Also I did not worried about skipping exercises on those days. On getting up late, I simply looked at other jobs on hand for the day and tried to schedule according to my convenience. This way I will be happy always. And whenever I am down with those cold, cough and fever, I use them to motivate myself to become better”.

Normally our goals are to become like very successful persons who are one in million or billion. And that may take million or billion moments if not days.

So, we can be happy always, all the million moments required to reach the goal using Mulla Nasruddin’s technique!

I AM RELATED TO EVERYONE AND EVERY THING.

The hot topic these days in the Media : Obama related to Brad, Hillary Clinton to Angelina: It further said Obama is related to Winston Churchill, Bush Jr. and Sr. Harry Truman, etc.

On reading this, I sent my gene sample to Genealogy centre funded by UN and based in Switzerland. This centre employs a super speciality super computer capable of crunching Trillions of Terabytes of information in seconds.

On submitting my gene code to this computer, I had to wait for 43 minutes for it to spew the names of my relatives. I started reading as it printed the names, and the list went as below;

Nitin Sarode, Manohar Divate, Shobha Chillal, …….
Dinesh Naik, Raja Ashok Vantagudi, Jaganathan….
Pradeep Khannur….

To my surprise it not only printed all the contacts in my mail_box but continued as;

N.R.Narayana Murthy, Ratan Tata, Kiran Bedi, Indira Gandhi, Birla clans, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Osama Bin Laden, Mohammed Bin Tughalak, Babar, Alexander, Aristotle, Issac Newton, Siddharta , Mohammed, Jesus, Vyasa, ……
And whole lot of names.

Then out of curiosity I gave one more sample of gene for tracing the genealogy. This time the computer took just 40 minutes and started printing the names. On watching the names, the Director of the Genealogy centre queried me; “Is this sample belongs to your nearest cousin?, because same names are being printed albeit in a different order.”
When I said that the sample was drawn from a street dog, the Director was astonished.

But there is no question of astonishment here. It has been revealed a long ago by our great seers, that all the living and non-living things, have originated from a single source. Every thing in this Universe is made up of the same Energy, only the manifestation differs.
The scientific proof as understandable by the present day human beings is made available now.

FORMULAE OF THOUGHT WORLD......CONTINUED

Hope you are all eagerly awaiting for the next two formulae. After all we want to be successful and want all good things in abundance. We know that we have two worlds – Physical and Thought, which are entwined. So they always affect each other.

Now let us consider about Success.

S =H t
Where S = Success
t = Time
H = Happiness.

Success in a particular task is directly proportional to the time involved in that particular task with happiness. This is an important formula, since it links the thought world and physical world.

From the above formula it can be derived that Happiness is directly proportional to the amount of success divided by time taken to achieve it.

H =S/ t

Is it not true that we will be very happy, whenever we achieve something in shorter time?
If we work with more Happiness i.e., with a singular mind, the time taken to achieve the success tends to become shorter and shorter.

We all want success, happiness, peace, money and comforts in abundance. But always feel, we are receiving less than what we gave. Think of it. Whenever we give, we give only to receive more. We work to earn more. We meditate, to have more peaceful mind. So we give time, effort, money, appreciation and the like, to receive more and more of Happiness, peace, money and comforts. There is nothing wrong in it. This is natural way of life. And the following formula shows how to get more, more of everything!
R =H G
Where R = Receiving
H = Happiness
G = Giving.

From the above formula it can be seen that “Bhagavan chappad phad ke dega” happens when we GIVE with infinite Happiness i.e., giving without any thoughts whatsoever. When thoughts cease, happiness becomes infinite and receiving also tends to be infinite.

We normally rue that we are receiving very less in spite of doing so much. But the fact is, we have lots of ‘agenda’ in ‘doing’ or ‘giving’ something. With this ‘H’ becomes a fraction number. Hence receiving becomes less than what we gave.

So friends, being aware of Thoughts will bring more Happiness, which in turn brings unbridled success which GETS us more and more of comforts, peace, and the like.

FORMULAE OF THOUGHT WORLD.

I could have very well called it formulae of Spiritual world. But the word ‘spiritual’ will be received with different connotations. Normally people turn spiritual in a quest to attain better things. But it all happens first in our thought. So, we as human beings, have two distinct world – physical and thought. We straddle the both seamlessly.

Some of the famous formulae of physical world are Newton’s law, Law of thermodynamics, law of Gravitation. If we look at the history of human development, it’s continuous discovery of such formulae. It is an attempt to understand and unravel the physical world.

Similarly there are formulae to understand and unravel the thought world. Here is the first and is basis of everything – Happiness. We want to be happy always and in everything we do. So here we go.

H = 1/ T

where H = Happiness
T = No. of Thoughts.

So, Happiness is inversely proportional to the number of Thoughts at a given point of time.

Happiness tends to become wholesome when number of thoughts occurring approaches 1. So merging with the task on hand gives maximum happiness. E.g., when we are listening to our favourite music, we are so immersed in it , that we will be listening to that music alone and in exclusion of all other sounds and thoughts. And we feel HAPPY.

Happiness can become enormous, infinite, when Thoughts cease to exist. This usually happens in Meditation. The best and simple way to reduce the number of thoughts is to observe the breath.

FORMULA FOR ENLIGHTENMENT

There is an easy formula for enlightenment. It has been discovered long back. I know you will all be wondering at this statement, since everyone is aware that these are discovered by sages thousands of years back and are documented in Vedas.

But, what I am talking about is the formula for modern scientific minded human beings. A very prominent scientist has discovered this. Somehow it has been camouflaged and has been kept away from the common people. May be so called protectors of religion have persuaded the scientist not to openly disclose that easy formula for enlightenment, as it make them to climb down from their exalted positions.

Now, without stretching further I disclose the name of the scientist and the formula; He is none other than Albert Einstein and his famous E=mc2 . I think here also some ‘golmal’ has happened. Einstein was awarded the noble prize "for his services to Theoretical Physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect" and not for his famous formula!

Einstein was not only a eminent scientist but also a great philosopher. He wanted to find an universal equation which explains everything in this universe.

Now let us learn about the formula for enlightenment E=mc2.

Where E = Enlightenment
m = Materialistic life and
c = Consciousness.

Materialistic life:
The moment we get human life, we cannot avoid being materialistic. Look at our body itself. It is made up of panchabhootas the five elementary things. We need to depend on air, water, food and shelter to sustain the life itself. And our necessities are all material things.

Consciousness:
Consciouness is the thing which separates human life from other forms of life. So c2. means living with hightened consciousness.

Now, nothing is going to prevent us from leading an enlightened life. Let us all enjoy this life in whatever fashion we like to, but definitely with full consciousness.

Me and God

Few days back, a beggar was at the door with the usual irritating, elongated alms mongering “A…mma…..tha…YE…! ” . When I gave some snacks, the beggar refused and was asking for money instead.

Is it not natural to feel furious and shout at beggar? After all that person is begging, so whatever I give should be accepted gracefully. Otherwise I have a right to shoo him out of my sight, right?

Now let us analyse my prayers to God.
I go to the God’s door (pooja room, temple and other such religious places) and start begging for comforts and more comforts. To make sure that God is listening to my prayer, I blow conch, ring the bell, sing bhajans etc. It may be terribly irritating as I normally do these things in the early morning or the evenings.

Should I not receive whatever is handed to me gracefully or face the ire of God?

I am quite acquainted with a pushcart fruit vendor. Once he asked me few thousand rupees sighting some urgency. There were two choices for me –
a) Give him the required money.
b) Tell him the inability to spare (in whatever fashion).

But I chose the third way. I wanted to be sure that he really in need of money. So I told him “I will give next week”, though I had money with me.

I think this was very fair and hope you all agree with me.

Since I do meditation every day it is safe to assume that I am quite acquainted with God. So for some extra favours I pray in a special manner with ‘homa, havan’, piligrimmage and such other methods.

Is it not fair on the part of God to take his/her/its own time to assess my requirements and then decide to grant the favours asked for ?

In another incident, my house maid who normally informs whenever she is unable to come, didn’t turn up for two days. On the third day, she came and told she need five thousand rupees immediately as her daughter is in a hospital ICU. I arranged the required money through ATM at that instance.

Now I was thinking that this five thousand rupees ‘gaya’ forever. Knowing her debt-ridden life it is impossible to ask her to return the money. My mind was saying “Aa..re! why she came to me only and how on earth I was available at home on that moment. I could have used that money for this and that….”
Is it not natural to think this way that too when I have unpredictable stream of income?

Though I am fairly regular in my meditations, prayers and poojas there are many occasions when I just don’t do any of them. Of course I can give any number of reasons for it.

There are many instances in my life when I have received the urgent help the very moment it was needed. I am sure every one will have such instances.
Does it not prove that God fulfils everyone’s need, no matter what he/she does?

Couple of months back my brother gifted me a laptop. (I needed it but had not spelt it to him.) It was a latest model with latest software loaded. When I went through the manual, I found it didn’t had certain optional items ( many of them are fancy), my mind started thinking “when he has given this latest thing, could have included all those options.”

If I look at all the things I have received in my life, I think I am always adding some rejoinders constantly like the one in the above example.

Do you agree that if I go on adding more ‘wants’ to all my needs (fulfilled and yet to be fulfilled) even God will turn away and pretend that he/she/it did not notice me?
