Creating Art Without Any Tools!

 Creating Art Without Any Tools!

Art isn’t always about brushes and paint. Sometimes, it’s about light and shadow dancing on a green lotus leaf, the sun crafting a masterpiece in real time.

Look at this canvas—pure, untouched, and alive. The delicate veins of the leaf, the shifting shadows of the tiny plant below, and the golden sunlight come together to create a moment of fleeting beauty. No human hand designed this, yet it speaks to something deep within us.

We often think art requires effort, but some of the greatest works are created when we simply pause and notice.

Next time you see light and shadow play around you, pause for a few seconds. Notice the effortless art of the present moment.

Have you stepped into nature’s art gallery today?

What You See Is Not What It Is.

What You See Is Not What It Is.

Me: “Hey Suswasa, I always thought trees were green. But at night, they look black. And at sunrise, they turn golden. So… what’s real?”

Suswasa: “Ah, you have noticed! The tree hasn’t changed, only your perception of it has. What you see depends on the light around you.”

Me: “So, are you saying my stress, my problems, my worries… they are like that too?”

Suswasa: “Exactly! What feels overwhelming now may look different in another light. A small shift in perspective can turn chaos into clarity.”

Me: “So how do I change my light?”

Suswasa: “Pause. Breathe. Just be. Let go of the labels and the assumptions. See what is, instead of what your mind insists it should be.”

Me: “Hmm… so, if I just be in the moment, things won’t seem so fixed?”

Suswasa: “Now you are getting it. The moment you stop trying to control everything, you start seeing things as they are. And that’s where peace begins.”

Begin This Moment with Presence!

Being in the Moment: A Lesson from a Butterfly

Being in the Moment: A Lesson from a Butterfly

I went to the terrace just to be myself. That’s when I noticed two butterflies enjoying fruit juice. One fluttered away, but the other remained completely immersed in the moment, oblivious to its surroundings.

I watched it for five minutes, mesmerized. The thought of capturing this beautiful scene struck me, but my phone was at home. I rushed down, fetched it, and climbed back up, wondering - will it still be there?

And there it was as if waiting for me. It stayed for another two minutes, allowing me to witness its stillness, its presence.

How often do we rush through life without truly seeing, hearing, or feeling the world around us?

Today, let’s take a moment - just like that butterfly - to be fully present. No hurry. No distractions. Just here, now.

Flight of the seed

I finally got to witness this mesmerizing beauty up close!

The way the seeds are neatly arranged inside their protective shell is a masterpiece of nature.

But the real magic? Watching how effortlessly they take flight with the wind, ensuring life continues in new places.

Observing this simple act reminded me—being in the moment doesn’t require effort, just presence. Nature is always unfolding its wisdom around us. We just have to notice.

Have you ever paused to admire how seeds travel?

Nature's art work

This moment will never be repeated.

While going about my day, I stumbled upon this fleeting artwork – a masterpiece painted by nature herself, a play of sunlight, clouds, wind, and the position of the curtains.

If I hadn’t paused, I would’ve missed it. If I hadn’t been present, I wouldn’t have noticed how the light danced on the wall, creating shapes and reflections, like whispers of beauty quietly waiting to be seen.

Being in the moment isn’t just about mindfulness. It’s about noticing the extraordinary in the ordinary. It’s about realizing how much is happening around us when we stop rushing and start observing.

Will this exact moment return? Probably not. But the beauty of being present is that new art unfolds every day.

Practicing the art of presence doesn’t need special tools, just a willingness to pause and look.

What’s something beautiful you have noticed today?

Be in the Moment

Be In The Moment: A Simple Way to Show Yourself Kindness

In our fast-moving world, it can feel like the present moment is something we never truly reach. We’re always pulled into thoughts of what’s next or what just happened, leaving the now neglected. But being in the moment isn’t just a nice thought—it’s one of the best ways to show kindness to yourself.

Why Presence Matters

When you’re fully present, you’re free from the worries of tomorrow and the regrets of yesterday. Your senses come alive: sounds are sharper, sights clearer, and experiences richer. Music and dance are two ways to capture this feeling instantly. When you lose yourself in a rhythm or a song, you’re not just hearing notes; you’re feeling each beat. Moving to music or simply observing it around you can pull you into the here and now in a surprisingly powerful way.

Observation: A Gateway to the Present

It’s easy to think being in the moment requires some special tool, but it doesn’t. Start by simply observing what’s around you. Look at the details—a leaf’s pattern, the play of light on a wall, the gentle sway of tree branches. Observation is grounding, reminding you that beauty and life are always unfolding right in front of you.

Kindness Begins With You

Being in the moment is, in essence, an act of self-kindness. It means allowing yourself to pause and experience life as it is. Just for a moment, you can let go of pressures, expectations, and worries. So take this World Kindness Day to try it out. Be present for yourself, let the small things around you sink in, and let that be enough.

No equipment needed, no checklist to follow—just be. You deserve this kindness.
