Being in the Moment: A Lesson from a Butterfly
I went to the terrace just to be myself. That’s when I noticed two butterflies enjoying fruit juice. One fluttered away, but the other remained completely immersed in the moment, oblivious to its surroundings.
I watched it for five minutes, mesmerized. The thought of capturing this beautiful scene struck me, but my phone was at home. I rushed down, fetched it, and climbed back up, wondering - will it still be there?
And there it was as if waiting for me. It stayed for another two minutes, allowing me to witness its stillness, its presence.
How often do we rush through life without truly seeing, hearing, or feeling the world around us?
Today, let’s take a moment - just like that butterfly - to be fully present. No hurry. No distractions. Just here, now.
