"Mistake 1: Expecting Instant Results"
Are you hoping mindfulness will instantly melt away your
stress? You’re not alone.
Many people, like one of my clients, felt frustrated after
their first week of practice. “I don’t feel calmer yet,” they sighed. “Maybe
this doesn’t work for me.”
In a session, I shared this analogy: “Mindfulness is like
planting a seed. You won’t see a tree the next day, but with consistent care,
it will grow. Start by appreciating the small shifts- like a moment of calm or stillness
within.”
They realized they had been rushing the process and decided
to slow down, allowing mindfulness to unfold naturally.
Key Insight: Mindfulness is a journey, not a quick fix.
Progress happens gradually with consistent practice.
