Rumi’s famous quote is not applicable to all!

Rumi’s famous quote is not applicable to all!

Rumi said, “When setting out on a journey, do not seek advice from those who have never left home.”

It’s poetic, no doubt.
But is it universally true?

Consider this;
Ramana Maharshi never stepped beyond a small mountain town.
Nisargadatta Maharaj, a humble cigarette seller, rarely left Mumbai.

They didn’t go anywhere.
Yet the world came to them.
People from across the globe sat in their presence
Not to hear about the world,
But to experience something deeper:
Inner clarity. Stillness. Truth.

Their wisdom didn’t come from miles walked,
But from silence entered.
From the courage to go inward
where very few dare to venture.

So yes, travel. Explore. Learn.
But don’t dismiss those who appear “stationary.”
Stillness is not stagnation.
Sometimes, the most profound journeys happen without movement.

Because Stillness isn’t passive, it’s profoundly alive.
It’s where clarity unfolds, healing happens, and the next right step reveals itself, no matter where you are.

At #SuswasaSpace, we simplify accessing that Stillness within.
