Y๐จ๐ฎ ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐ก๐ฎ๐ฆ๐š๐ง, ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐š ๐ญ๐š๐ฌ๐ค ๐ฆ๐š๐œ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ž

 "๐ƒ๐จ๐ง'๐ญ ๐ญ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ฆ๐ž ๐ญ๐จ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐›๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ก๐ž! ๐ˆ ๐š๐ฆ ๐š๐ฅ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐๐ฒ ๐›๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ !"

That’s what someone said (with visible irritation) during a session I was facilitating.

And I get it.


When you are stuck in traffic for 90 minutes, have back-to-back calls, your kid’s school needs a form filled yesterday...

...someone telling you to “just breathe” can feel like a bad joke.


But here’s what most don’t realise:

Breathing isn’t about doing something extra.

It’s about reminding yourself that ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐ก๐ฎ๐ฆ๐š๐ง, ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐š ๐ญ๐š๐ฌ๐ค ๐ฆ๐š๐œ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ž.


The problem isn’t that we are not breathing.

The problem is – we have forgotten to notice that we are.

That noticing is the pause. That pause is power.


And that, ironically, is what the “just breathe” advice misses entirely.

So no, I don’t tell people to breathe.


I help them experience their breath. Right where they are.

In 30 seconds or less.

Because calm isn’t another thing on your to-do list.

It’s a return to the only list that truly matters - your presence.
