That’s what someone said (with visible irritation) during a session I was facilitating.
And I get it.
When you are stuck in traffic for 90 minutes, have back-to-back calls, your kid’s school needs a form filled yesterday...
...someone telling you to “just breathe” can feel like a bad joke.
But here’s what most don’t realise:
Breathing isn’t about doing something extra.
It’s about reminding yourself that
The problem isn’t that we are not breathing.
The problem is – we have forgotten to notice that we are.
That noticing is the pause. That pause is power.
And that, ironically, is what the “just breathe” advice misses entirely.
So no, I don’t tell people to breathe.
I help them experience their breath. Right where they are.
In 30 seconds or less.
Because calm isn’t another thing on your to-do list.
It’s a return to the only list that truly matters - your presence.
That’s the #SuswasaSpace way.
