Embrace Chaos

Life can get pretty chaotic, but what if that chaos is just peace and calm in disguise?

After reading about the recent rain havoc in the two Andhra states, I remembered an official trip to Vijayawada almost three decades ago. I had booked my return journey by bus since there were no convenient trains available.

Everything seemed fine as I boarded the bus and started my journey towards Bangalore. But around noon, it began raining so heavily that nothing was visible through the windshield. The driver had to stop the bus.

Thankfully, we were far away from the rivulet we would encounter later in the journey. We soon heard from a driver coming from the opposite direction that the road had been washed away and it was safer to stay where we were until the rain and the water in the stream receded.

We ended up being stranded at that spot for almost 20 hours, unable to leave the bus the entire time! Strangely enough, everyone seemed to understand the situation, and we all just waited patiently.

Later, when our bus reached the washed-out section of the road, locals were guiding vehicles across the precarious patch. After an hour or so, we finally reached a small restaurant where we could relieve our hunger and overloaded bladders. Though we arrived at our destination feeling ragged, we were safe.

That experience taught me an incredible lesson about embracing chaos.

Embrace the chaos, for within it lies the potential for true serenity. Micro-practices can guide you through the storm, helping you find balance in the midst of life's turbulence.

Let Mr. Peace & Ms. Calm or Ms. Peace & Mr. Calm be your inspiration—embrace the chaos, and discover the strength that comes from within.

PS – Micro-practices are my greatest teacher and Vigneshwar!
