Meditation / Mindfulness does not work!

Meditation or mindfulness does not work, that's my personal experience also!

 

Do you like to know why?

 

Now, read through the following statements and pick up the one which is true for - Doing Meditation.

 

1.  Sitting cross legged with eyes closed.

2.  Window shopping in a mall.

3.  Driving a car in heavy traffic conditions.

4.  Watching a movie.

5.  Calling on the phone.

6.  Walking through a fish market.

7.  Doing dishes.

8.  Working on a laptop

9.  Exercising.

10. Walking on a busy road.

11. Dining

12. In a meeting.

 

 

If you picked up statement number 1, you are on the same side of the fence as I used to be!

 

Doing Meditation is a misnomer!

 

We can be in Meditation in each of the situations mentioned in the above 12 statements!

 

After a long time juggling with doing meditation, I realized that 'Doing' Meditation is futile because it is of Being-ness!

 

As Eckhart Tolle says Meditation is purely of the domain of Being and it cannot be approached through Doing!!

 

We all know that pausing, and letting go, are the essential traits of a leader and also to be on the path of wellness!

 

And this is nothing but being in Meditation, being in Self Awareness!

 

We can access this state easily contrary to the popular belief that it requires sitting with eyes closed for long hours!

 

It is possible to take that pause, micro pauses but conscious ones every now and often, and that is how it is possible to de-stress and rejuvenate on the go!

In these crazier times, we always face off some or the other stressors throughout the day and night. So it is necessary to de-stress and rejuvenate on the go!

Being in Meditation / Self Awareness works for sure!
