An ode to a father
who has to
go far
to reach there!
When asked to rate how good a father I am on a scale of 1 to
100, my daughters would likely choose closer to 10, thinking the scale ranges
from 1 to 10. That’s their emotional view. But in reality, I’d probably be
somewhere in the single digits on the actual 1 to 100 scale. That's about my
role as a father to my two daughters.
In another parallel journey, I began becoming my own father.
If you ask me to rate myself, it’s 1 on a scale of 1 to 100, and I’m not being
emotional here! That’s the confession of a father who has to go far to reach
there!
Happy Father's Day to me and to all the fathers out there!
PS – Yes, I
know it’s another nine days away on 16th June 2024. However, I could
not stop myself from sharing this thought that came to me during my morning
Zhan Zhuang exercise (which happens through the stillness of body and mind).
