I wear Masks, do you?

I used to wear masks. And now, I still wear masks.

Is it okay to wear masks? Let's delve a bit into that.

In a world where we often find ourselves donning various masks to navigate the intricate dance of life, I used to be a master of disguise. Masks of kindness, anger, annoyance, and happiness adorned my face like a well-rehearsed theatrical performance. Yet, I was resenting it the most and felt very uncomfortable.

Today, just like before, I wear masks. What has changed then?

The question that now lingers in my mind is not about the masks I wear but rather, am I aware of wearing them?

It's a fascinating journey, this exploration of self-awareness. As I delve into the layers of my being, I discover that I am not the sum of the masks I wear. Beneath the veneer of kindness or the shield of anger, there exists an authentic core waiting to be unveiled.

Why do we wear these masks, you might ask? The answer is simple: survival.

In a world that demands adaptability, we learn to camouflage ourselves, to fit into the societal roles expected of us. However, acknowledging the masks is the first step towards reclaiming our authenticity.

I am not that mask, and neither are you. The liberation lies in realizing that these masks are tools, not identities. They serve a purpose, but they do not define who we truly are. By embracing this awareness, we free ourselves from the shackles of defending every mask we wear.

It's a powerful shift, redirecting energy from defending illusions to nurturing the genuine self. The energy once spent on protecting masks can now be channeled into fostering connection, understanding – the true essence of who we are.

Looking forward to your thoughts in the comment section.
