Do you ever wonder if, at the age of 60, you can forge new bonds of buddyship? Well, let me tell you, it's not just possible—it's enriching!
A buddy, they say, is someone who'll yank your collar in jest
and then wrap you in a bear hug of support. That's what I call 'buddyship'.
Reflecting on 2023, I realize how fortunate I am to have
experienced buddyship at every stage of life—be it the school corridors, the
wild days of college, the bustling working phase, and yes, even at the ripe age
of sixty!
In this newfound buddyship, Narayankumar takes on the role of
sutradhar, along with Venugopal and Ganesh. It all started during our tranquil
three-day stay at Triptych in Nilgiris. Those serene surroundings seemed to
coax open the doors to our hearts, and before we knew it, we were sharing
stories, dreams, and aspirations.
A beautiful resolution was born amidst the Nilgiris' mist: to
gather online every month. And we did just that! In the midst of mid-December's
digital glow, our buddyship meeting took place. The screen couldn't contain the
warmth and camaraderie that flowed through the pixels.
With each interaction, this buddyship leaves me feeling
enriched, inspired, and grounded. There's something magical about connecting
with kindred spirits, irrespective of age or stage in life.
Now, I'm curious: What's your take on buddyship, especially
in the later chapters of life? Have you experienced the beauty of forging new
connections and deepening existing ones, even as the years roll by?
Let's celebrate the essence of buddyship—the ties that bind
and the relationships that continue to evolve and thrive, no matter where we
find ourselves on life's journey.
