A toxic culture can spread like wildfire in any organization, and the leadership is often to blame. As a leader, it is natural to face criticism and abuse from different quarters for every action he/she takes. It's easy to get caught up in the negativity and focus on the abuses rather than the blessings. However, it's essential to be self-aware and avoid criticizing or abusing back.
So it is essential to stop the cycle of negativity, as it can
spread throughout the organization, creating a toxic culture that affects
everyone. One way to avoid this is by learning from the example of Sri Rama.
Despite facing constant abuse and criticism, Sri Rama never counted the abuses
hurled at him. Instead, he focused on the blessings of life.
Through his actions and behavior, Sri Rama trained his
followers and administrators to do the same. Even when a washerman accused Sita
Mata of wrongdoing, the system ensured that the criticism reached King Rama,
who handled it wisely without harming the washerman or his family.
As leaders, we must remember to focus on the positive, count
our blessings, and avoid toxic behavior. Only then we can create a culture of
positivity, growth, and success in our organizations.
