Did you see Emperor’s new clothes?

This is a story of an Emperor obsessed with having only wise citizens and getting rid of fools.

The Emperor had conquered all other kingdoms and was unchallenged. So he planned to conduct a grand victory ceremony.

He decided to have the finest clothes designed for the occasion.

He summons highly skilled artisans from all over the world and orders them to produce a Royal robe which the world has not seen so far!

The artisans started the work and were showing the samples to the emperor.

Everything was getting rejected.

Emperor became restless as the D-day was approaching.

He calls upon artisans and gives an ultimatum of one week to produce an acceptable sample, else risk their lives!

The artisans request the emperor to allow them one week for themselves to pray to the deity of the kingdom and get the idea!

Emperor was pleased with the suggestion.

At the end of a week, when the emperor visited the place of work, he saw all the artisans were busy! However, he could not see any piece of cloth there!

Then he thundered “ what are you doing? You all seem to be pretending to work on something?

The chief artisan replied “Emperor, deity appeared in our dream and has given instructions to produce one of a kind Royal robe!

We are now working with divine threads and it can be seen only by wise people and fools can’t see it!”

Suddenly, the Emperor started appreciating the design!

Every day the Emperor brought his ministers and other important persons of his court to witness the artisans' work.

Everyone seems to be in awe of the Royal robe in making.
(Lest they will be proved fools and banished from the kingdom!)

Finally, the D-day arrived.
There were grand announcements of the Emperor’s procession in a special royal robe on the victory celebration day.

All the citizens had lined up on both sides of the procession path.
As the emperor arrived all were in great astonishment.

Emperor was walking in the birthday suit!

Nevertheless, the citizens were hailing the King loudly.

Who wants to prove that he/she is a fool?
Suddenly a kid ran towards the Emperor and pulling his hand, shouted “Oh Emperor, why are you naked?

Let’s awaken the kid in us!

Otherwise in the rush towards becoming the best versions of ourselves, are we not getting into the race towards ‘Emperor-hood’ in our chosen field?

There is a likelihood of producing the exact opposite of the idealism we want to establish!

All this, because there is a tendency to weave a web of falsehood and get entangled into it!

It is happening across the world, in, corporate as well as political leadership space!
