From first position Wuji, curve your arms as if hugging a
soft balloon in front of your chest.
This is Holding the Balloon, a posture that gently awakens the body’s
natural energy.
🔹 Benefits:
✅ Opens the chest and
relaxes shoulders
✅ Expands breath capacity effortlessly
✅ Creates a subtle “energy
field” you can feel
Why I love it:
Like branches holding sunlight, this posture teaches me to hold the energy
within.
👉 Micro-practice: 2–3 minutes daily is enough to
feel your breath deepen and mind quieten.
