Why Monday has become Moan Day or Mourn Day?

Why Monday has become Moan Day or Mourn Day?

Let’s celebrate Mann dey – almost shouted Maya grabbing her first cup of coffee in the office canteen.

Her team members waiting for her at a nearby table to discuss fast-tracking the project, looked at her puzzled.

Moha n, a teammate of Maya seemed to be agitated, angry, and a tinge of boredom all wrapped in one!

Another team member said, “Maya, we are experiencing bouts of fear and anxiety, as it appears directionless!”

(I was eager to listen to Maya as I too feel agitated, angry, and directionless not just on Mondays but on any day!)

Maya started speaking – Hey! You know I met Suswasa, my listening ear yesterday to pour out what we are going through. He listened patiently to all that I had to say and uttered ‘mann dey’!

“Exactly, I am worried about Monday,” I said in a raised voice.

Then Suswasa gesturing to ask something, said “It is Hindi Mann dey!”

Hello, my teammates do you understand Suswasa asked me to leave my mind with him, to let go of all thoughts?

Now all teammates were eager to know what next.

Maya continued –“see we have developed a belief reading thousands of posts about Monday blues that Monday is a short form of either ‘MOaN’ day, or ‘MOurN’ Day carrying all the torturous thoughts like Moha n!

But let’s celebrate Monday by accessing the Space, and letting go of thoughts when the Space says Mann Dey!

Maya shared Self awareness micro-practices with all teammates.

Then, after a few minutes, all team members walked towards their workstations.

I could not miss the spring in their steps!

How do you cope with Monday blues? Share your thoughts, please.
